Customer WiFi Network Requirements

To ensure your sensors connect smoothly to your WiFi network (if you’re not using a MOVUS Gateway), here’s everything you need to know about configuring your network.

WiFi Requirements

MOVUS sensors currently support only 2.4 GHz WiFi networks.

Network and Firewall Configuration

To enable sensor communication, your firewall or gateway needs to be set up to allow connections to the following IP addresses:

If your sensors were installed before July 2022, you might also need to configure your firewall to allow communication with an additional MOVUS service. If you’re unsure, please contact us at support@movus.com.au.

DHCP and DNS Settings

DHCP Configuration
Sensors require a DHCP server on your network to automatically configure their communication settings.

DNS Configuration
The sensors will use your DHCP server to configure network settings and resolve domain names through your designated DNS servers.

Proxy Configuration

Please note that sensors cannot currently be configured to use a proxy service.

Additional Network Requirements (Legacy Firmware)

If you have older sensors, there might be additional network requirements. Please contact your sales representative to determine if these apply to your fleet.
