This article outlines best practice with these notifications and explains when they are triggered.
How can it help you?
The purpose of the Red Alert email is to advise you that your equipment is showing a major deviation from its normal operating behaviour.
These emails are sent to alert you that you need to investigate that equipment. We recommend that you review the equipment's data on the MachineCloud Dashboard and physically inspect the equipment.
How does it work?
As with all emails from our system, Red Alert emails will be sent automatically to the email address linked to your FitMachine account.
When?
A Red Alert will be issued if the equipment's condition has been in red status for 30 consecutive minutes. This means that it sends two samples with the condition being in the red region. After a red alert email has been sent, a 4 hour period is required prior to another red alert being issued for the same equipment. This will only occur if the conditions for a red alert are being met at the 4 hour mark.
Note: You will need to have Alarm Emails turned on in your Notification Preferences to ensure you get Yellow Advisory and Red Alert emails. You can learn how to change your account preferences here.
What?
The Red Alert email is designed to let you know which piece of equipment has changed its condition. It contains: our explanation text similar to that shown in the Why? section above; information about the equipment that triggered the alert; and, a link to the dashboard so that you can see the data that the FitMachine sensor is outputting.
