Find out how the FitMachine Dashboard determines how, and shows your equipment as running
How can it help you?
Knowing whether or not a piece of equipment can help you keep an eye on your operations, and it affects the learning of FitMachine.
How does it work?
We use The Running Cut-Off to determine whether or not your equipment is running. When the vibration is above the running cut-off, your equipment is considered as running.
- Only samples that are considered as running are included in the learning of a FitMachine sensor
- The frequency of how often MOVUS samples your equipment is determined by whether or not the equipment is running
- Running status affects other data in the FitMachine Dashboard, such as inferred power and utilisation.
Indicators
In several places on the dashboard, there is a status indicator that shows whether or not the equipment is running based on the last FitMachine sensor sample.
The status indicator will be spinning (pictured above) if the last FitMachine sensor sample was detected as running and the last sample was received within the last 8 hours. The status indicator will not be spinning (pictured below) if the last FitMachine sensor sample was below the running cut-off.
If the FitMachine sensor monitoring the equipment has never reported, or last reported more than 8 hours ago, “N/A” is displayed (seen below) instead of a fan as the equipment running state is unknown.
