This article explains how to edit an equipment's metadata after onboarding is complete.
How can it help you?
When onboarding a FitMachine, you need to enter various details about the equipment, including:
- Site Details
- Equipment Details
- Location
- Equipment Images
However, if you’re short on time or prefer not to enter these details on your mobile device, you can easily update them later using the Equipment Editing feature on MachineCloud. This functionality also allows you to correct any mistakes or input data more comfortably on a desktop or laptop.
How does it work?
To edit an equipment's metadata on the dashboard, follow these steps:
Access the Equipment's Detail Page:
Navigate to the Equipment Detail Page for the asset you would like to edit. One way of doing this is going to the Equipment List page and click on the equipment's name to access its detail page.
To learn more about the Detail Page, head over to About the Equipment Detail Page here.
Click the 'Edit' Button:
On the Equipment Detail page, click the 'Edit' button in the top right-hand corner (as shown below).
Update the Equipment Metadata:
This will open a page displaying the equipment's metadata. Here, you can add, edit, or remove any necessary information.
You can update the following details:
- Site Details
- Site Name
- Sub-area Name
- Installation Date
- Notes on Site Details
- Equipment Details
- ISO Class
- Equipment Name
- Equipment Number
- Brand
- Model
- Capacity
- Equipment Type
- Role (Primary or Standby)
- Power Rating
- Max RPM
- Confined Space
- Variable Speed Drive
- Running Cutoff
- Location
- Equipment Images
- Overall image
- FitMachine image
- Equipment nameplate image
- Motor nameplate image
- Gateway location image
Save Your Changes:
Once you've made the necessary changes, click the green 'Update' button at the top of the page to save them. If you don’t click this button, your changes will not be saved.
Note: You cannot change your equipment's network details, such as the WiFi Network or Gateway it is connected to, from this page. These changes must be made using the FitMachine Mobile App.
